The rental and departure of the boat will proceed as normal when weather conditions, wind intensity, and port authorities allow.
The lessee must ensure that children wear life jackets throughout the voyage.
The lessee must receive full information from our staff and must adhere to all safety and navigation rules as defined and in force by the regulations and the rental agreement.
The lessee must check the excellent condition of the boat and the equipment listed either in the rental agreement or on this website before departure and return them in the condition they were received.
The company bears no responsibility for any bodily or mechanical damages caused by the lessee during the rental period or for the loss of equipment on the boat. In such cases, the lessee will be charged the corresponding cost.
The maximum number of passengers/allowed individuals varies by boat. The passenger limit is listed in the boat's specifications.
The boat is delivered fully fueled.
The lessee must be at the boat delivery location 30 minutes before departure for the necessary briefing. Otherwise, they must promptly inform the company staff.
The rental period is from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM unless otherwise specified and agreed upon.
In case of bad weather, SALT & SAND will not proceed with any boat rentals.
Upon your arrival at the predetermined boat pickup location, you will be asked to sign all necessary documents for the rental of your chosen boat and settle any outstanding financial matters.
During the pickup, a detailed demonstration of the boat and its equipment will be provided, along with comprehensive information on safety procedures and usage instructions for the boat and the documents/licenses given to you.
Returning the boat to the drop-off location must be done at the predetermined time; any changes can be made upon agreement between the parties.
Upon return, the condition of the boat and its equipment will be checked.
The lessee must necessarily have their ID card or passport with them. During the rental, the following documents must be on the boat and presented to the Port Authorities if requested:
The original Sailing Permit or General Inspection Protocol of the rented boat
A copy of the insurance policy
A copy of the certificate of compliance with legal requirements
Copies of the General Port Regulations No. 20, 23, and 28 as applicable, which regulate the movement and navigation of boats, and the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea
On our website, you can view our boats, their availability, and the services we offer. You can then make your reservation and pay the amount due by following the steps on our website.
Our website offers various payment options for your reservation:
Payment by credit/debit card
Deposit of the rental amount into a bank account
*A rental confirmation and the necessary tax receipt will be issued as required by applicable tax regulations.
In case of cancellation up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure, the full reservation amount is refunded. Alternatively, upon communication, the rental can be rescheduled.
In case of cancellation less than 48 hours before the scheduled departure, 75% of the total rental amount is refunded.
In case of cancellation less than 24 hours before the scheduled departure, the total rental amount is retained, and no refund will be given.
* In case of adverse weather conditions that prohibit departure on the rental day, the full reservation amount is refunded. Alternatively, upon communication, the rental can be rescheduled.
We cover your Civil Liability towards third parties and passengers in accordance with Law No. 4926/2022 with coverage limits:
Death/bodily injury per person – €150,000
Death/bodily injury per incident – €1,500,000
Property damage per incident – €150,000
Causing sea pollution – €150,000
The name, distinctive title, trademark, images, graphics, distinguishing features, as well as all content, information, electronic files, services, and anything else contained on the website www.saltandsand.gr belong exclusively to SALT & SAND and constitute its protected intellectual property. Trademarks, names, or other intellectual and industrial property rights of third parties displayed on this website are also protected according to the applicable law.
